New Year’s Eve Party – 2000
[December 31, 1999: TGN, Arlington Heights, IL] Well, due to the 1999 computer “hoax”, most of my friends and acquaintances were stuck at work at midnight on December 31, 1999, so only a handful (like 8 people) showed up. But, the party did go on for a while. The live webcam feed was up until 3:30 pm. (Next year’s party, the real turn of the century on December 31, 2000 should be a lot more fun, especially in my new condo I will be getting…) And, the official eZine-TGN Party Rating is in: 4.0 out of 10

[Dec 31, 1998: TGN, Des Plaines, IL] “The 17th Annual New Year’s Eve Party (NYEP)” was great!. Old friends (from UIUC) and new ones from all over popped in. Are we getting old or what? The official
General’s 17th Annual New Year’s Eve Party 1998
[December 31, 1997: TGN, Des Plaines, IL] “The 16th Annual New Year’s Eve Party (NYEP) and Costumes Of Course” was a smashing success. There were 40 attendees making the party rather festive. Partygoers were treated to drumming of the Japanese taiko by Patty Adachi and the African djembe by John Yost.
At midnight, we had a phenomenal dry ice effect throughout the house. The first wave left around 2:30am and the rest of the crew went around 4:30am. And, the official eZine-TGN Party Rating is in: 9.0 out of 10! This is a real good rating which we haven’t seen in many years.
